Oklahoma Baptist introduced its new mascot with a familiar name - Shaz - to a raucous crowd Tuesday at the OBU-St. Gregory's basketball games.

In what promises to be an exciting event, Oklahoma Baptist will reveal its new Bison mascot Tuesday before the men's basketball game with St. Gregory's.

Fans are encouraged to be in the arena at the end of the women's game and stay seated for the pre-game event.

The tryouts for the 2013-14 cheerleading squad is April 4-6 in the Noble Gymnasium (Mabee Arena) on the campus of Oklahoma Baptist University.

Cheer workshops will be from 6-8 p.m. April 4-5 with the tryout set for 2 p.m., April 6.
